Well... This morning the doctors took a chest x-ray and decided to release him from ICU to the step down unit. They have removed all of the tubes, including taking him off oxygen. He was put on oxygen as soon as they took him off the breathing machine. They gave him something to suck on that will tell them how he is progressing, and he can get a 3000 out of 4000!! The doctors are hoping to release him by Saturday, but it will depend on his OT and PT.
